Concertmaster (2 positions)

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra is recruiting two violinists to serve as Concertmasters, sharing leadership of the orchestra.

The appointment

Permanent appointments with a 50% job share. Each Concertmaster is contracted for at least 17 weeks per season. The orchestra describes the remuneration as internationally competitive; no salary figure is listed.

What you’ll do

• Share concert leadership equally with the other Concertmaster.
• Perform together when required by the programme and represent the orchestra on and off stage.

What you’ll bring

• Outstanding violin playing and musical judgement.
• Excellent ensemble skills and the ability to lead fellow musicians.
• A professional approach to representing the orchestra.
